Just like one of her idols, Barbra Streisand, “Glee’s” Lea Michele says she’s proud that she never went under the knife in hopes of getting a new nose.

The 23-year-old singing sensation told Women’s Health in their June issue that she’s “the only girl in her high school class not to get a nose job.”

Lea is happy with her nose, but the actress said that she’s not immune to the pressures of always looking good.

“I love myself, the way I look, my body, but sometimes I can’t help but feel insecure here. It plays with your head,” she told the mag.

Lea explained that she keeps in shape by sticking to her vegan diet – but admits to … Read the rest

Lea Michele won’t let you rain on her parade.

Michele, one of the breakout stars of Fox’s musical comedy Glee, is a tiny, petite wisp who speaks in soft, dulcet tones. But in person, she’s formidable.

“I always knew what I wanted to do,” says Michele, 23. And that was being on stage.

As a kid growing up in New Jersey, Michele began auditioning for and booking theater gigs, appearing in Broadway productions of Les Miserables, Ragtime and Fiddler on the Roof. It was her turn in the December 2006 hit musical Spring Awakening that earned her a Tony nomination and led her to Glee.

Her lovely brown eyes sparkled with excitement. “Tell them I love doing what I am doing,” she said. “This is all I have ever wanted to do since I was 8 years old!”

Lea, 24, is wise, savvy and beautiful, … Read the rest

Glee’s Lea Michele has teamed up with PETA for a new anti-fur PSA called “If You Wouldn’t Wear Your Dog, Please Don’t Wear Any Fur.” Watch it, and PETA’s video Q&A with the actress — who first raised her voice with the animal rights organization during her Broadway days to end the abuse of horses used in New York’s carriage industry — after the jump.

In the PSA, shot in a faux school hallway, Michele says, “Everyone wants to fit in and feel like they belong. But sometimes you have to take a stand and step away from the crowd….With so many fashionable, cruelty-free options available, there’s really no excuse for joining a club that wears someone else’s coat.” (Is … Read the rest
