Lea Michele (Wendla)

What do you remember from your audition? What did you sing?
I auditioned for Spring Awakening in 1999, and I sang “I Don’t Know How to Love Him” from Jesus Christ Superstar.

What is your favorite onstage memory? Any onstage mishaps?
Jonathan and I [had] so many funny moments on stage, and the whole cast had tons of funny moments and mishaps on stage and off…
Favorite onstage memory would be the night we came back after winning all the Tonys. The audience was going crazy, and it was a total rock show.

Favorite backstage moment? Any celebrity that you freaked out over meeting at that time?
Some of the cast from “Grey’s Anatomy” came, and I totally geeked out! I love […]

The final curtain came down on “Glee” on Friday night, but how does actress Lea Michele think it all went down?

Showtracker talked with the star who played Rachel Berry on the Fox musical comedy, which just ended its six-season run. The first part was published Friday morning. Now, Michele discusses the finale and her future.

Showtracker: Lea, the “Glee” finale just aired on Fox. What was making it like for you?

Michele: We wrapped the show about three weeks ago and we were all so interested in knowing what this final script was going to be. What we ended up doing was two episodes back to back. One was a flashback to 2009: Basically, scenes that you didn’t see from the pilot. […]

One of the constants throughout Glee’s six years has been star Lea Michele, who plays the ambitious Rachel Berry. Michele, who’s currently in New Orleans shooting Fox’s Scream Queens—from Glee creators Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, and Ian Brennan—looked back with EW on the impact of Glee and what it’s meant to her life and career.

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: Do you remember your audition?
LEA MICHELE:  Of course. It might have been six years ago, but it wasn’t 100 years ago. You can’t forget the thing that was the start, and the moments that began the most important thing of my life so far. I had a very memorable audition—as everyone knows I got into a car accident heading to Fox to meet with the network. I reading [the script] for the […]

On Friday, Fox’s “Glee” will sing its last note.

The musical comedy about a high-school glee club proved that musical comedy could work in prime time, reintroduced rock classics like “Don’t Stop Believing” to a new generation and touched off a show-choir phenomenon at schools nationwide.

It also made a star of Lea Michele, who starred as the socially awkward but vocally powerful Rachel Berry. Showtracker reached her by phone to discuss her thoughts on “Glee’s” end. An edited version follows:

The Times: Lea, how does it feel to be ending the run?

Lea Michele: I couldn’t be happier with the work I did on the show. “Glee” was a very specific, unique experience that leaves me feeling like I can achieve anything that […]

For me to get to be on the final season is really awesome.” See, we told you she was … well, you know.

The campaign encourages women and men (yes, breast cancer can affect men, too) to perform and share news of the completed self-exam via their social media channels using the hashtag.

The hashtag #FasterThan reinforces how a simple and quick process can ultimately help save your life. It also lets people have some fun and creatively addresses one of the key barriers to self-exams – thinking that it is too complicated and time consuming.

I met Glee star Lea Michele backstage years ago, when she and my sister-in-law were in Fiddler on the Roof on Broadway, and Lea was only 18 years old. Pretty, petite and present is what I thought of her then—and now. What a big personality! And then, of course, there is that powerhouse voice.

Lea’s first book, Brunette Ambition (Crown Archetype), recently climbed to #3 on the New York Times bestseller list. She just announced that she is beginning work on another, though the subject is still under wraps. Brunette Ambition is all about Lea’s journey to success. But it is also an ode to healthy living.

Lea Michele Is a Beauty Queen, No Nose Job Necessary

The first time I heard about Lea Michele was in 2007. My then-boyfriend told me I looked just like an actress who was starring in the edgy rock musical Spring Awakening on Broadway. He was right: I checked out this Lea, and she was also short with big Jewish hair and a non-Hollywood nose. I became a devoted Lea-fangirl instantly. And not only because I think she’s stunning and everyone tells me I’m her doppelgänger (huge compliment!), but also because she’s supertalented and it was the first time I truly related to anyone in Tinseltown.

As Lea went on to claim her spotlight, I watched from the sidelines — seeing her dominate on Glee, attending her live tour shows with the […]
